Saving time is always a top priority when it comes to Disney World vacations. Since Disney World is a massive theme park that is composed of Animal Kingdom, Epcot, Magic Kingdom, and Hollywood Studios, it only makes sense that people would want to see as much as they can during their limited time here. While it is impossible to see everything in just a few days (you need at least two weeks or more to get majority of the parks covered), you can make the most out of your time at the parks by striving to save every precious second while you're here. Here are some ways on how to save time and enjoy Disney World to the fullest.
• Arrive early at the theme park. Be sure to get there at least one hour before it opens. This way, you can be ahead of the lines and you can get in before the heavy crowd comes during lunchtime and afternoon. If you are staying inside the theme park, you don't have to wake too early in the morning to achieve this. But if you are staying at Orlando hotels or Kissimmee Hotels, you will want to be early to rise and shine.
• Download maps from the official websites of Disney World. This is important so that prior to the trip, you can already map out your itinerary and determine which of the attractions you would like to see. This step allows you to see as many attractions as you can during your visit.
• Move away from the crowd. If you move with the crowd, you will find that it takes longer to get from place to place. You may also find yourself waiting in long lines, and so on. What you should do is to move away from the traffic by starting at the backmost part of the park. Move your way towards the center so that you can duck the heavy crowds of people. You can also move counterclockwise since most people move clockwise when in the park.
• Hop on board the Walt Disney World Railroad. This allows you to explore parts of Magic Kingdom like Toontown Fair and Frontierland without having to waste several minutes walking.
• Focus on the first-rate rides. If you have limited time, instead of rushing to see everything, you might as well focus on the best attractions and rides. After all, vacationing is not about quantity but quality. The best rides of the House of Mouse include Expedition Everest at Disney's Animal Kingdom, Splash Mountain at Disney's Magic Kingdom, Twilight Zone Tower of Terror at Disney's Hollywood Studios, and Soarin' at Epcot.
• Use the FastPass system. This system allows you to virtually fall in line for the rides without actually having to be there. All you have to do is to insert the card into the FastPass machine and then go back to the ride on the hour specified on the ticket that the machine will release. This would save you time from falling in long lines.
• If you are going to watch a parade, be sure to pick a good spot where you will get a good view early before the crowd arrives. It is best to choose the spot near to the beginning of the parade. This way, you can finish the parade earlier than most people. While they are still watching the parade, you can move on to enjoy the popular rides.
